Installment 3: The Host/Hostess
Whether it's a cocktail party or Christmas Day,
it is just plain rude to show up to a holiday soiree empty-handed.

As a hostess, you know how much planning and work goes in to hosting
the "perfect" party.
Therefore, he/she deserves a little something for their efforts, if you ask me!
1.
While a bottle of nice wine is always a good stand-by,
why not be a little more creative?
(Does anybody remember that episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" when Larry David subscribes to this philosophy and brings bread (instead of wine) to a dinner party? It ends up being hard as a rock and he later uses it as a weapon to beat up a mugger on the subway? Too funny! I digress.)

How about a bottle of brandy to make hot toddies this winter?
Or, even better, a bottle of something locally produced?
