Rub-a-dub-dub

...here's a D.I.Y. tub & shower scrub!

(Feels appropriate after yesterday's dirrrty post, hey?) ;)

Directions:
Heat 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the microwave for 90 seconds.
Pour into spray bottle.
Add 1/2 cup of Blue Dawn dish soap.
Shake gently to mix.
Spray on tub/shower surface.
Let sit for 1-2 hours.  (Read:  Perfect for a busy mama!)
Just wipe it away with a cloth/sponge/paper towel and rinse with water.

*Note:  This should also work on removing soap scum off shower doors....if not, simply rub the soap scum with a dryer sheet.  (It works - I kid you not!)  This scrub concoction, unfortunately, does not appear to do anything for any mold/mildew that is INSIDE the tile/grout (which happens to be the case with our current rental.) Thus, I will be attempting this D.I.Y. solution for the mold problem sometime hopefully soon.  ;)

The embarrassment!  The horror!

Not too shabby, especially for the next-to-nothing effort, hey?

But unless you, say, have a baby (or are otherwise insanely busy)
and let your shizz get so bad to where it needs a major scrub,
I prefer the simple tri-weekly scrub down method...
Fill one of these handy-dandy dish scrub brushes with half Dawn and half vinegar.

Keep it in the bathroom so you remember to give the tub/shower a quick scrub WHILE you're still in there and the water/steam is hot.
Voila!
A continuously, sparkly clean bathroom with minimal effort.

Cheers to cleanliness!
